Dear Triathletes, You did it!

My, my, what a couple of proud coaches we are! The sun shined on us all this Sunday for certain -- such a beautiful day for a race.

My legs are still a bit sore today. How about yours?? I'd have to think so after the killer efforts you all put out on the course. Absolutely awesome!

I'd love to hear some stories. How did you feel? Was that swim start nerve wraking or what!? How did the transition go for you? Did you pass anyone in particular (wink)? Can you remember what thoughts ran through your head?

I felt great in the water. But so nervous I wasn't going to see the balloons and swim right by! All I thought during the bike was....push, pull, push, pull, for 12.5 miles. Once it was time to run I was pretty pooped out but thrilled to have made it safely to the home stretch. (No flats, no passes) Watching you all cross the finish line made this one of the best days ever!

Congrats to ALL of you!

Christine! Way to go! Podium in your age group, so cool. Thanks for the hug. You looked surprised. Now you know you can do anything you set your mind to.
Amy...best finish line sprint of the day. Get her!
Dylan, you looked crazy strong at the end. Nicely done.
Madi and Donna!! Sweet:-) I can't believe how many of the Tri-Club from this year and last year stood up on the podium. Gotta love it. You guys and gals seriously deserve the recognition.
Stephanie, I know your family is super proud. We are too.
Jennifer. Smiling and strong at the end. You looked great out there.
Holly, so fast! I saw you coming into the transition after the swim like a bullet! Weee!
Caroline. Congrats, you did it! And so well. Glad your family could see you finish.
Wow, Melissa, 4 minutes faster than last year! Training pays off!
Fiona, I'm so happy you were able to come out and race. I know you would have like to be injury free and really show your stuff, cuz, girl, you got it.
Much love to the Loren and Team Milo's -- I love the commitment and togetherness you all bring to the day. Thank you.
AJ, I know you were on the course racing in spirit. You have an amazing way of making us all feel like champs. Thanks for all you do.

Elena and Ember --- You were missed but I know you are destined for some kick butt racing this year.

Extra special shout out to my dear friend and Tri-Club's honorary coach, Julie Deal. You are beyond spectacular. Unstoppable, Jules. Four plus minutes faster on the bike! Four plus minutes faster on the run. Finishing in 2nd place OVERALL for the women. You cut 9 minutes off your time from last year (your 1st ever Triathlon)!  Your positive attitude and "go for it" drive are something we can all learn from --- My goodness it is a thing of beauty!

So what's next team. We are strong, better and faster. Triathlon isn't for everyone. Go ahead, be proud. Keep your eyes on the prize -- whatever it is. Then go get it!

Much Love and Respect,
Coach Remy
